Ayahuasca for panic attacks

Living with panic attacks can be exhausting. Our ayahuasca retreat offers a space to reconnect with a sense of calm, safety, and trust within yourself to help heal what's underneath.

What's actually driving your panic attacks

Panic attacks rarely come from nowhere. They're often the body's response to unprocessed stress, trauma, or deeply held beliefs about safety and control.

Ayahuasca works at a deeper level than most conventional treatments — addressing the root patterns of anxiety rather than managing symptoms. Many guests arrive at Harmonica having tried therapy, medication, and breathwork — and still feel ruled by fear and panic.

Benefits guests have experienced

With over five years of facilitating retreats, we've welcomed many people who came specifically because panic attacks were disrupting their work, relationships, and sense of self. What we hear most often after the retreat:

We want to highlight that these aren't guaranteed outcomes. But they are common for those who come to our retreats, and tend to hold when integration is taken seriously.

How we support you if panic arises during ceremony

Some guests do experience fear and panic-like sensations during the ceremony itself. This is normal and, in our experience, often marks a turning point in their personal process.

Is ayahuasca right for you right now to overcome your inner fear?

Ayahuasca isn't the right fit for everyone, and we take that seriously. Certain medications — particularly SSRIs and benzodiazepines — require a careful tapering process before a retreat is safe. Some psychiatric profiles need more stabilization before this kind of work is appropriate. Every application is reviewed individually by our medical team. If we don't think the timing is right, we'll tell you — and we'll suggest what might help you get there.

Talk to us how we can support you in your individual situation.

Medical disclaimer, ayahuasca is not a cure or standalone healing modality for panic attacks!

Ayahuasca is not a substitute for professional medical or psychological treatment. It is not a cure for any physical, mental, or emotional condition, and individual experiences vary significantly based on each person’s unique history, intentions, and circumstances. All prospective participants are required to complete a thorough health screening prior to attendance, as ayahuasca carries real risks for individuals with certain medical conditions or those taking contraindicated medications.

We cannot guarantee specific outcomes, and any experiences shared by past participants may not reflect your own. Ayahuasca may serve as a meaningful piece of your personal healing journey — offering insight, clarity, and transformation — but its effects are most lasting when supported by ongoing integration and a genuine commitment to growth over time.
