What is a Temazcal
Originating from Mesoamerican traditions, Temazcal is a type of sweat lodge made of volcanic stones and clay / or bamboo covered with blankets. Participants enter the dome-shaped structure where water infused with medicinal herbs is poured over hot stones, producing therapeutic steam. It’s a ritual of rebirth, purification, and deep introspection.
