Impression Ice bath Medellin
Why Ice baths are becoming so popular in Medellin
Ice baths have been rapidly gaining popularity worldwide as more and more people recognize their potential to help push past personal limits and achieve mental and physical well-being. By immersing oneself in the challenging environment of ice-cold water, individuals can learn to quiet the mind, focus on the present moment, and build resilience.
The incredible benefits of ice baths for the body, ranging from reduced inflammation to improved circulation, have been supported by numerous scientific studies. These studies have highlighted the physiological effects of cold exposure, such as increased dopamine levels, which contribute to enhanced mood and motivation.
Moreover, participating in ice bath events and workshops provides an excellent opportunity to meet new people and build a community of like-minded individuals. As the popularity of ice baths continues to grow, so too does the global movement towards embracing this powerful and transformative practice.
The combination of breathwork and Ice bath
The correlation between ice baths and breathwork is further emphasized by the guided breathwork performed before entering the ice bath. This specific breathing technique is designed to create a low oxygen environment within the body, preparing it for the shock of cold exposure. This breathwork technique help you acclimate to the cold more effectively.
It is also important to regulate your breath while in the ice bath itself. Maintaining steady, controlled breathing is crucial to overcoming the initial shock and discomfort of cold immersion. By focusing on calming your breath, you can successfully navigate the mental and physical challenges of the ice bath, unlocking its full potential for transformative healing and growth.
Ice Baths and Ayahuasca: Get ready to push yourself
One of my personal goals with Ayahuasca was to quiet the mind and to connect with myself. Interestingly you can do the same with an Ice bath. In essence they are two totally different modalities for healing and growth, but in the end they both serve a very similiar purpose.
The physical challenges of ice baths can prepare you for the emotional and mental challenges often encountered during Ayahuasca experiences.
I love incorporating Ice baths in my Ayahuasca retreats. It already helps with the transformation from going from our heat to our body.

Frequently asked questions
Yes, our skilled facilitators will guide you through the process, ensuring that you feel safe and supported throughout your journey.
While ice baths offer numerous benefits, they may not be suitable for everyone. Consult your healthcare provider before participating, especially if you have any pre-existing medical conditions.
Sessions generally last between 2 to 3 hours, including preparation, breathwork, ice bath immersion, and integration time.
The timelife of the Icebath is a bit different. The first 30 seconds are the hardest and it is important to not listen to the mind in this scenario. After that the experience starts to become a lot more tranquil. We recommend for people to stay 3 minutes in the Ice bath, however if you can do 3 minutes, you can also do 5 minutes… And if you can do 5 you can also do more and go up to 10 minutes in the Ice bath.
Absolutely! Ice baths can complement other healing practices, such as yoga, meditation, and Ayahuasca ceremonies. Speak with our facilitators to discuss the best approach for your unique journey.
